In addition to reading and remembering the Beat, author Robert Briggs says it’s time to seriously look at this question. In his provocative Jazz and Poetry & Other Reasons, Opus Six, Briggs explains to a growing following why the existential soul of the Beat seldom goes unremembered. Weaving his own personal experiences of those times in a performance of poetry and insight he reveals the enigma of those past Beat women and men who reflect and shine critical light on the cultural confusion in present-day America.
